Our Lady of Guadalupe Story by: Abby Boothe ‘21   Our Lady of Guadalupe will be celebrated on December 12th. Señora Spets’ Spanish 3 and 4 classes will be singing Spanish songs with the help of the choir teacher Mrs. Nina Powers. The students in this class have already begun making rosary bracelets for each student and staff member at the school. Wreath Sale By:Abby Boothe ‘21  The Sophomore class of ‘21 is selling fresh 22 inch wreaths this winter. The $20 wreaths can be purchased by any sophomore student until this Friday. Make all checks payable to Tri-Cities Prep Class of 2021. The money raised will go toward dances put on the sophomore class and the senior trip.

Yesterday, Wednesday October 3rd, the senior class visited the Connect Tri-Cities College and Career Fair. This event was designed to be a “unique opportunity to engage with the Tri-Cities community, Hanford contractors, small businesses, and the young minds of our future” (connect-tricities.com).  Put on by Mission Support Alliance, the career fair included information regarding apprenticeship programs, college training programs and career options in STEM fields as well as live science experiments by Kevin Delaney with Street Science and information from motivational speaker Edward DeJesus.  Senior class students engaged with professionals, participated in hands-on simulations and experiments, and explored possible career options.   In the words of the organizers: (from connect-tricities.com) The Tri-Cities is full of exciting opportunities to build careers! Students in grades 1st thru 6th, are invited to attend a free skills clinic on Wednesday, December 27th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tri-Cities Prep varsity coaches, Mike Conner and Joe Makay, along with their coaching staffs and current players, will provide participants with training in ball handling and shooting skills along with the opportunity to have some fun during the holiday break. Students will receive a free student and one adult admission to see the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguar basketball teams in action against Seton Catholic HS that evening on campus. The clinic is being held in the Grant Activity Center on the campus of Tri-Cities Prep with registration beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Parents are invited to stay and watch.

Tri-Cities Prep students have not been sitting idle this summer.  A group of students dedicated to making a difference have decided to raise money for the Tri-City World Relief Center.  Taking advantage of the beauty of a Tri-City summer evening, the group is hosting a Summer Movie Night.  Watch Moana under the stars with your family and friends and support a worthwhile cause. The show will be held on August 11th beginning at 8pm at 516 N. Rd. 45 in Pasco.  Remember, the movie will be viewed outdoors amongst the moon and stars so bring a blanket and/or chairs for your viewing comfort. We want to help you do some early (or late) spring cleaning! Bring your gently used and unwanted clothing, bedding, books, shoes, household items, small electrical appliances and accessories to the Prep parking lot (9612 St. Thomas Drive in Pasco) August 7th thru 14th for donation to Goodwill. The Booster Club earns money for every pound of donated items so clean up your home or office and support the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars! The forty-four members of the Class of 2017 have officially completed their last day of regular classes and finals and are now preparing for the next chapters of their young lives.  Tonight marks the beginning of the journey with Baccalaureate Mass at 7pm in the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel on the campus of Tri-Cities Prep.  The class will then have a couple of days to celebrate their accomplishments as they take time to relax and relish in their final days as high school students.  There is much to celebrate as the class of forty-four have been offered over $8 million in scholarships to colleges and universities across the United States. Commencement ceremonies will be held on Saturday, June 3rd from 2pm to 4pm in the Grant Activity Center at the school.
