The 40-0 Tri-Cities Prep victory over Manson High School this past Friday sends the boys to the first round of the WIAA State Football Playoffs on Saturday, November 12th. The (8-2) Jaguars will play Dayton-Waitsburg (9-1) at 12pm at Edgar Brown Stadium in Pasco. Dayton-Waitsburg will be the host team therefore, Tri-Cities Prep will be in the visitors section (east side) of the field. Be sure to wear your Jag gear and come cheer on your Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars! WIAA playoff admission rates are as follows: Adults: $9 Students with ASB: $7 Senior Citizens: $7

Tri-Cities Prep Boys Cross Country team finished 4th in the Disrict 5 & 6 Regional Competition last week and qualify to compete at State on Saturday November 5th – 11:30am at Sun Willows in Pasco! Both the boys and girls Tri-Cities Prep Cross Country teams won team titles at Big Cross in Pasco this past Saturday.  They are advancing to the District 5/6 meet on Saturday, October 29 at Walla Walla Point Park in Wenatchee. According to the WIAA website:  Each week throughout the school year, the WIAA recognizes varsity athletes from each of the six classifications who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week (based on nominations). All varsity level students in good academic standing at their schools are eligible to receive the WIAA Athlete of the Week Award.   Mario (Bubba) Valencia was awarded Week 7 WIAA Athlete of the Week for his 20 carries for 255 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns against DeSales in the annual Holy Bowl game.  Tri-Cities Prep won  52-0 taking home the 2016 Holy Bowl Trophy.

Join us as we celebrate our Tri-Cities Prep community of alumni, parents, students, faculty, and friends! The 2016 Homecoming football game will be held at Chiawana High School football field on Friday, October 21st.  The Holy Bowl winning Jaguars will be competing against the Mabton Vikings. The festivities will begin with an Alumni hosted BBQ at 6:30pm with kickoff at 7pm.  The Homecoming Court will be presented during halftime. Don’t miss out on the fun and celebration!

The Knights of Columbus Holy Bowl is an annual football game featuring Tri-Cities Prep Catholic High School versus DeSales Catholic High School from Walla Walla.  The winner gets to take home the Holy Bowl Trophy.  This year the Jaguars host the Irish at Chiawana field in Pasco.  The pre-game festivities begin with a tailgate BBQ at 6pm.  Pre-game announcements will begin at 6:45pm and include a presentation of the colors by the Knights of Columbus Color Guard.  Tickets can be purchased at the gates.

According to a study by the National Highway Safety Administration, more than 10,000 people were killed in drunken driving accidents in 2015.  That is approximately one person dying every hour in these accidents. When you drink alcohol, your reaction time will slow down, you’re less coordinated, your vision is impaired, and it’s harder to think clearly.  When you’re on drugs, your vision, brain, thoughts, and what you hear change, causing you to become a hazard.  Now imagine someone under the influence of these toxic substances on our streets, putting our lives and their life in danger.
