]]> http://tcprep.org/11/04/2011/tc-prep-boys-favored-to-win-state-girls-team-makes-first-appearance/feed/ 0 Boys Cross Country win Districts, girls qualify for State! http://tcprep.org/10/31/2011/boys-cross-country-win-districts-girls-qualify-for-state/ http://tcprep.org/10/31/2011/boys-cross-country-win-districts-girls-qualify-for-state/#comments Mon, 31 Oct 2011 16:39:33 +0000 dwhitsett http://tcprep.org/?p=3566 Girls Cross countryThe Tri-Cities Prep boys and girls cross country teams ran away big winners at the District 9 Championships at Clarkston, WA on Thursday, Oct 27.  The boys team came away as district champions for the third straight year.  They placed all seven of their runners in the top ten.  The girls team came away as the third place team and became the first TCP girls team to punch their ticket to a State Championship.  With the boys and girls district championship accomplishments they will both represent TCP at the State Cross Country Championships at Sun Willows Golf Course, Pasco WA on Saturday Nov 5.  This is a local hosted event at a great golf course venue.  Please consider coming out to Sun Willows this Saturday and cheer on these Prep student-athletes.  Your presence and cheering certainly motivates and encourages the runners to perform their very best.   Cross country is spectator friendly sport and you will be amazed at how entertaining it is to watch these Prep athletes run the 3.1 mile course.

]]> http://tcprep.org/05/17/2011/tcp-is-best-in-festival-at-cbc-drama-competition/feed/ 0 TCP Science Olympiad Team Wins Regionals! http://tcprep.org/03/14/2011/tcp-science-olympiad-team-wins-regionals/ http://tcprep.org/03/14/2011/tcp-science-olympiad-team-wins-regionals/#comments Mon, 14 Mar 2011 20:23:00 +0000 dwhitsett http://tcprep.org/?p=2537 The Tri-Cities Prep Science Olympiad team competed for the first time in the Regional Science Olympiad Tournament on March 12th at Spokane Community College.  Competing in 23 different individual events, 13 Prep students medaled (placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd) and walked away with the first place trophy for our region.  A total of six high schools competed from the Tri-Cities area.  The Prep community is very proud of the work our students have done and excited to have this group of scholars represent our region at the State Tournament on April 16th in Vancouver, Washington.

Stutzman is the second wrestler to ever make it to the Mat Classic.  Sam Mota-Martinez was the first Jaguar wrestler to make it in 2009.  This will be Stutzman’s second trip to the Tacoma Dome as he was a starter on the State Championship football team in 2009.
