Marinella Chvatal and Antonio Ledesma were selected from numerous Christ the King School graduates for their outstanding leadership. Many CK School grads were nominated from Tri-City area high schools. Selection criteria focused on leadership through serving their church, community, high school, as well as activities and awards received at during their high school career. Congratulations Marinella and Antonio, and thank you both for your leadership and service!
Tri-Cities Prep seniors Will Hoppes, Jay Orth, and Evan Kruschke played their final baseball game in Colfax on Saturday, May 15th against St. John-Endicott. But it was more than just a game for these three seniors. They have been in the starting line-up four straight seasons and they are the only three seniors on this year’s team. But their journey through life started long before they ever stepped inside Tri-Cities Prep.
The Tri-Cities Prep Mock Trial team is heading the State!
The TCP group finished third at the District competition last month and will be competing in Olympia March 26-28.
There are 20 teams statewide who will compete at the state level. There will be four rounds of competition, with the final round, between the two top teams taking place on Sunday morning. The winner of that round will qualify to go to the National competition.
Parkside Driving School Scholarship Opportunity
Parkside Driving School is offering four (4) scholarships to local students for their new driver’s training course. One scholarship will be awarded for each of their four area locations: Richland, Pasco, Kennewick & Benton City.

Tri-Cities Prep faced some of the toughest competition in district competition. Monica Powers, Monica Daly, Kristine Vaz were named “Best Witness” while Marcella Saenz was selected “Best Attorney” in her round of competition. It was only the second time in TCP’s Mock Trial history that they did not earn an outright berth to the state competition. “This team was outstanding and is truly ready for state level competition,” said coach Brian Roach. Tri-Cities Prep faced both Kennewick and River Academy of Wenatchee in their two rounds of competition in what turned out to be very challenging and tight scoring matches. Kennewick and River Academy took first and second in the competition respectively. Tri-Cities Prep finished a very close third.
Will Hoppes named Sports Faith International Male High School “Athlete of the Year” – USA Today
Tri-Cities Prep senior football quarterback Will Hoppes surfaced in the December 28 issue of Sports Illustrated “Faces in the Crowd” section. He was mentioned for his state championship game statistics and his National High School Football Federation career passing records that he holds.
