Our Lady of Guadalupe Story by: Abby Boothe ‘21   Our Lady of Guadalupe will be celebrated on December 12th. Señora Spets’ Spanish 3 and 4 classes will be singing Spanish songs with the help of the choir teacher Mrs. Nina Powers. The students in this class have already begun making rosary bracelets for each student and staff member at the school. Along with praying the rosary in Spanish and singing songs, there will also be a reenactment of Mary and Juan Diego. “We’ve have always celebrated it and done a reenactment but this year we will be doing that along with other things.” said Campus Minister Mrs. Teresa Kruschke.      The story of Juan Diego and Mary begins with him having a vision on his way to mass of a woman wearing a traditional Aztec dress and she is pregnant.  Mary told Juan Diego to tell the bishop to build […]

The celebration of Catholic Schools began on Sunday, January 29th and Tri-Cities Prep opened it’s doors to the community to share the good news about our school.  Families representing our partner middle schools attended as well as our public middle school community throughout the Tri-City area and even Walla Walla! The 2017 Catholic Schools Week theme of the year is – “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.”  Throughout the week the students will be participating in various activities to honor our parishes, community, vocations, staff and volunteers.  On Friday, all of our Tri-City Catholic schools will unite as one and celebrate Mass at Prep. A big thank you to Principals, Kathleen Cleary and Perry Kelly of St. Joseph Middle School for their support of Catholic education.  They recently sent a letter to their 8th grade families encouraging them to continue their student’s faith formation throughout their high school years […]

Today is a day that many people are busy preparing for the upcoming holiday; packing to travel or prepping for out-of-town guests, and/or planning a big meal.   At Tri-Cities Prep it was a day that we were allowed to relax a little, have some fun and celebrate what all that we are thankful for.  There were a lot of fun activities happening on campus such as the annual Christmas Door Decorating Contest and Macho Man Volleyball Competition. One of the many blessings at Tri-Cities Prep is that we all unite in prayer.  A heartfelt THANK YOU to Colby Richards for leading the students and staff in a prayer service that was inspirational and the perfect way to begin the holiday season! Have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!

(The following was taken from a September 25th, 2016 article published in the Tri-City Herald by Kristin M. Kraemer): Patrick Clark likes to refer to the 17 stained glass windows he made for Tri-Cities Prep as his “circle of life” project. Raised in Richland until he was 14, the New York City artist has returned numerous times over the past 16 years to handle two separate installations at the Catholic high school in Pasco. And now, Clark, 62, is taking part in a book that not only will document the history of Tri-Cities Prep, but the reason behind the windows and the role God might have played in inspiring him. “It really was a long, hard journey making these windows,” he told the Herald. “It was a big production, it turned out great and (the students and faculty) love them. It’s a really precious gift to me.” Clark spent this […]
