The Tri-Cities Prep football team has a huge game against St. Bernards from Northern California on Saturday, September 29th. They play at Edgar Brown Stadium in Pasco. Prep has gone undefeated this season with a record of 4-0 and St. Bernards at 5-1. Prep is playing this team to be prepared for the postseason and the competition out of their league. St. Bernards travels out of state every year to play. Last year they traveled to Texas and played a game against a high school there. They are coming to the Tri-Cities on Thursday and are planning to do a few activities with Prep the days leading up to the game. Prep will be hosting a team dinner with them on Thursday where they can talk and bond before they play each other. The Lady Jags made a name for themselves this year as the team to beat! They finished the season tied for 1st overall in the EWAC with a record 19 wins and 7 losses.  It was a season filled with many celebratory firsts for the young team: 1st Conference Title 1st Conference Player of the Year 1st District placing 1st Regional birth 1st Regional win 1st State birth 1st State Tourney (Arena) win 1st Final Eight Freshman Talia von Oelhoffen was named EWAC Co-Player of the Year and 1st Team while sophomore Alyssa Monteon was named 2nd team. With only one senior on the 2017-2018 team, you should expect to see some great performances and results next year as well! In the event that you missed attending the Prep Expo in December, we are giving you another chance to learn what sets Tri-Cities Prep apart from other high schools in our area.  The Prep Expo – Round Two is set for Sunday, February 11th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Join us for an introductory presentation beginning at 2:00 p.m. and spend the rest of the afternoon touring the campus and speaking with students, coaches, faculty and board members.

Students in grades 1st thru 6th, are invited to attend a free skills clinic on Wednesday, December 27th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tri-Cities Prep varsity coaches, Mike Conner and Joe Makay, along with their coaching staffs and current players, will provide participants with training in ball handling and shooting skills along with the opportunity to have some fun during the holiday break. Students will receive a free student and one adult admission to see the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguar basketball teams in action against Seton Catholic HS that evening on campus. The clinic is being held in the Grant Activity Center on the campus of Tri-Cities Prep with registration beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Parents are invited to stay and watch.

Unfortunately for Griffin Linn ’20, a bum knee prevented him from playing on the state bound Prep baseball team last spring, however, he did not let that stop him from contributing to the success of the program. Griffin decided that he would lend his other talents to both the softball and baseball teams by constructing benches to be used in the dugouts of the Ray Whitlow Memorial Athletic Complex.  He said that he was looking for a way to stay involved and connected with the team. Griffin developed a plan, created a budget, presented to the building and grounds committee and asked the Prep community for its support in raising the money needed to construct the benches. His fundraising efforts included asking current and former baseball and softball families for donations.
