Emma Slahtasky, Jordan Myer, Angelina Rudolph, Kendra Nies and Mary Jane Coffey will have a busy but rewarding weekend ahead of them. They have been preparing for an event called Dresses for Hope and it is happening this weekend at the Cynergy Centre on Friday, March 24th from 3pm-7pm & Saturday, March 25th from 11am-4pm. (The Cynergy Centre is located at 4309 W. 27th Avenue in Kennewick)
These ladies have been collecting prom dresses since July of 2016 for this special event. They have over 300 dresses that have been generously donated by students, parents, and even grandparents from the Tri-Cities and even Walla Walla. Their goal is to give young ladies who may not have the financial means to purchase a new dress for their school’s prom, an opportunity to still have a beautiful dress to wear. Girls can opt to bring a dress to exchange for another or just choose one and take it home at no cost.
The Prep seniors know how stressful prom can be for young girls and want to help by taking away one of those stressors.
