According to the WIAA website: Each week throughout the school year, the WIAA recognizes varsity athletes from each of the six classifications who exhibited an outstanding performance for the previous week (based on nominations). All varsity level students in good academic standing at their schools are eligible to receive the WIAA Athlete of the Week Award.
Mario (Bubba) Valencia was awarded Week 7 WIAA Athlete of the Week for his 20 carries for 255 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns against DeSales in the annual Holy Bowl game. Tri-Cities Prep won 52-0 taking home the 2016 Holy Bowl Trophy.
