Our annual Tri-Cities Prep Teacher Cook-Off did not disappoint! 👩‍🍳🔥 Teachers brought their best appetizers and specialty dishes, and our brave student judges — with their very refined palates — sampled every single entry. The competition was tough because everything was delicious, but this year’s champion was Mrs. Nelson with her homemade elk chili! 🌶️🏆 Huge thanks to our teachers for bringing the flavor and to our judges for their courageous taste-testing. It was so fun we are thinking we need a spring teacher baking challenge! #tcprep #cookoff #tricitiesprep ... See MoreSee Less

When asked about what makes Tri-Cities Prep special, students, teachers and parents often say “the community!” 🫶🏼This is an aspect of our school is something we are very proud of. But it takes effort from our teachers and staff. An awesome example is Mr. Potter’s “Mix It Up” lunches. Throughout the school year, mix it up lunches are announced with these creative, yet odd, and eye catching student-created posters. Then students know to look for the posted list of groups for lunch that day. When students move outside of their comfort zone and interact with others they normally have wouldn’t, connections are made and THIS creates community. Conversation starters are even provided at each table. This activity works to build community and is why Mr. Potter continues to “mix it up” every school year. 👩🏽‍🍳 #teachingtolerance #mixituplunch #tricitiesprep ... See MoreSee Less

A conversation between two girls during chemistry class revived a service that once was at Prep. The girls were discussing the high prices of dresses for formals and decided to solve an issue in their community by opening TCP Borrowed Boutique. 👗 The club is accepting formal dresses and accessories NOW! If you have dresses collecting dust or jewelry begging to see a night out again, please drop it off in the office for TCP Borrowed Boutique. #tcpborrowedboutique #donation #TCPrep ... Sophomores in Mrs. Muzatko’s class had a sweet introduction to chemistry with a complex fudge recipe. Students had to use their math skills to first convert measurements from scientific notation to standard notation and THEN use dimensional analysis with special conversion factors to convert the measurements into units they could bake with. 😮‍💨 The reward was edible fudge! Way to go, Jags! #tricitiesprep #bakingischemistry #tcprep ... See MoreSee Less
