Sophomores in Mrs. Muzatko’s class has a sweet introduction to chemistry with a complex fudge recipe. Students had to use their math skills to first convert measurements from scientific notation to standard notation and THEN use dimensional analysis with special conversion factors to convert the measurements into units they could bake with. 😮💨 The reward was edible fudge! Class retreats take place throughout the year, each with a theme and spiritual focus. Through the sacraments, prayer, and friendship building activities, students are called to conversion—to the embracing of God’s will in their lives. They are also challenged to build God’s kingdom on earth, and to be salt and light for the world.
