Join the Tri-Cities Prep community for our annual Mass of the Holy Spirit at 7pm on Wednesday, September 20th in the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel. This special mass has been a tradition at Tri-Cities Prep for many years. We celebrate the beginning of a new school year, give praise and thank God for the blessing of our school and ask for the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit throughout the year. After mass the Tri-Cities Prep Board of Directors will be hosting an ice cream social.         Please contact the school office for questions at 546-2465.

Tri-Cities Prep annual Jag Fest is Sunday, August 13th at 5pm! Jag Fest is a great way to meet your family of peers before school starts.  Students and their families are invited to our campus for a super fun evening of good food, good conversations, and great fellowship. The food, fun, and activities are provided, we just need YOU! The fall sports meeting will be held before Jag Fest from 4pm to 5pm.

Tri-Cities Prep students have not been sitting idle this summer.  A group of students dedicated to making a difference have decided to raise money for the Tri-City World Relief Center.  Taking advantage of the beauty of a Tri-City summer evening, the group is hosting a Summer Movie Night.  Watch Moana under the stars with your family and friends and support a worthwhile cause. The show will be held on August 11th beginning at 8pm at 516 N. Rd. 45 in Pasco.  Remember, the movie will be viewed outdoors amongst the moon and stars so bring a blanket and/or chairs for your viewing comfort. Ticket prices are $5 student/$8 Adult and all proceeds go the Tri-City World Relief Center. For questions, please contact Mandi at 509-380-7196.

We want to help you do some early (or late) spring cleaning! Bring your gently used and unwanted clothing, bedding, books, shoes, household items, small electrical appliances and accessories to the Prep parking lot (9612 St. Thomas Drive in Pasco) August 7th thru 14th for donation to Goodwill. The Booster Club earns money for every pound of donated items so clean up your home or office and support the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars! There are some items that cannot be accepted so please read the flyer or call for more information.

Congratulations to Mrs. (Heather) Axel for her recent induction into the Pasco High School Hall of Fame. Tri-Cities Prep was blessed to welcome Mrs. Axel to our teaching staff in August of 2012 and we soon learned how deep her commitment to education is. While we have known how fortunate we are, she was recently inducted into the PHS Hall of Fame where she was recognized by the broader community for her dedication. Heather graduated from PHS in 1993 and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Studies from Washington State University.  She returned to Pasco High to student teach and was then hired and taught for ten years at her alma mater.  She later received a grant from the Pasco School District to pursue a Master’s in Education Degree and graduated from WSU Tri-Cities in 2002. The forty-four members of the Class of 2017 have officially completed their last day of regular classes and finals and are now preparing for the next chapters of their young lives.  Tonight marks the beginning of the journey with Baccalaureate Mass at 7pm in the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel on the campus of Tri-Cities Prep.  The class will then have a couple of days to celebrate their accomplishments as they take time to relax and relish in their final days as high school students.  There is much to celebrate as the class of forty-four have been offered over $8 million in scholarships to colleges and universities across the United States. Commencement ceremonies will be held on Saturday, June 3rd from 2pm to 4pm in the Grant Activity Center at the school.

The Tri-Cities Prep Athletic Programs are offering Jaguar Youth Summer Sports Camps starting in June. Jaguar Youth Volleyball Camp is for students entering the 5th thru 8th grades and begins on June 20th-June 22nd.  Players will develop fundamental skills including: passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Coaching staff will teach the basic skills through various techniques that will simulate the movements and skills necessary to play the game.  Our goal will be highlighting the fun you can have with the volleyball while promoting all the positive aspects of the sport.  Players will be grouped by age and experience so that they can train in a safe and fun environment. Congratulations to Teddy Moore ’19 as he not only competed, but placed 19th overall in the state golf tournament this week.  Also competing in the state tournament were fellow team members, Ally Moore ’18 (Teddy’s older sister) and Selam Coffey ’18. Teddy was also honored with the Tri-Cities Prep Sophomore Award for Spirit at the Academics Award Luncheon this past Monday.

Congratulations to freshman softball player Emily Dickson on being named 2016-2017 (Week 37) Athlete of the Week.  Emily helped move the Jaguars on to the State Tournament bracket, with victories over Liberty Bell (2 RBI) and Lake Roosevelt (3 hits and 5 RBI). The Lady Jaguars play at Gateway Sports Complex in Yakima on Friday at 11am against Napavine.
