Today students in Dr. Arcia’s class were fortunate to hear from Tri-Cities Prep graduate, David Roach. David graduated with the class of 2004 and is currently doing his residency at the University of Washington and is interested in infectious diseases. He works for the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center along with a clinic in downtown Seattle that serves the homeless. He spoke with juniors and seniors about his residency and research work on Bacteria Genomes and his journey after graduating from Tri-Cities Prep. Welcome back David and thank you for sharing your experience with Prep students!
The U.S. Secretary of Defense, James Mattis, recently visited the Tri-Cities to speak with veterans who currently work for the Department of Energy. Prep graduate, Catherine Jacobs, who is currently finishing her senior year at the University of Portland, was invited to sing the National Anthem for the secretary and audience.
Today Tri-Cities Prep celebrated mass with some of our graduates that either have returned home from college for the Christmas holiday or live in the area. Graduates from the Class of 2016 through the class of 2002 either participated in mass or attended as guests.
The recent snowfall in the Tri-Cities provided an elegant backdrop for a special occasion in the history of Tri-Cities Prep. Saturday, December 10th, marked the third time that the St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel served as the wedding chapel for Prep Alumni. Numerous friends and family witnessed the union of two young people as their journey as husband and wife began. Congratulations to Brandon Andersen and Veronica Jones (’11) on their nuptials.
